  2. I live in Houston. My family and friends work for NASA. It is a waste of money. There are too many government employees playing solitaire because they know results don't matter, and the government never fires anyone. For example, my neighbor was in charge of making sure all cargo was safely secured on the space shuttle. He kept the assignment three years after Obama scrapped the Shuttle program.

  4. Except that isn't true. The evidence shows that public funding outside of the military industry is more wasteful and less innovative. The speculation is that the Department of Defense cares more about more practical aspects than the Department of Energy, for example.
