  1. Unlike Russia, the US and China's military buildup is more about maintaining stability than conquering other nations. The US force acts a deterrent of rogue nations from attacking allies or disrupting trade. Meanwhile, China's buildup is a deterrent of the US, but more importantly it is needed to suppress minority ethnic groups and dissenting opinions. However, President Pooh is now wanting to use the military to conquer and bully neighbors. Just look at how every nation is the South China Sea is being harassed in their own territorial waters by China.

  2.  @benchan6488  That is misleading, because China has been deploying its military internally for decades against its own people (Tibet, Tiananmen, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong).
