@magnitskyact8154 It is in America's economic and national security to make an example of Russia, so autocrats such as China and Iran see the consequences of invading a sovereign democracy.

@isay207 Nah. The budget isn't unlimited, so it would be better to spend it on long-range rockets, more tanks, and way more ammunition.

@docprune9922 Obviously, they came to the same conclusion as most new weapon packages involve ammunition and air defense as a priority over fighter jets

@docprune9922 You know how usefulness of the Western equipment is based on the reaction of Russia. You know it is usefulness if the Russians threaten nuclear war over the weapon system when it is announced, and then you definitely know it a problem for Russia when the state propaganda says it is useless and outdated as it arrives on the battlefield.

@goenzoy712 Your critical thinking skills are lacking. The fact that a much smaller state like Ukraine can do so much damage to Russia is the point. Russia has failed every strategic objective, with the exception of the Crimea land bridge, with the cost being their economy, legacy Soviet weapons stockpiles, and tens of thousands of Russian lives. Even Russia's ability to hold the land bridge is in question. Smarter people than you will see this as a cautionary tale.

@goenzoy712 What consequences? How about 35,500-43,000 killed in action and 154,000-180,000 wounded? What about a shrinking economy and rising unemployment? What about Russia's brain drain as young men flee abroad? What about all the destroyed Soviet equipment that Russia doesn't have the capability to replace? What about pushing Finland into NATO? What about a rearming of Europe? BTW: Russia has a trade surplus because they can't buy anything because no one will take their useless currency. The upcoming recession will also trigger a drop in oil prices, which will make Russian discounts to China and India unprofitable. This would basically destroy the Russian economy more than any sanctions. If you know anything about US politics, then you will know the Pro-Putin MAGA candidates can't win elections. Ukraine aid will continue to flow.
