Comments by "" (@badluck5647) on "Speaker Johnson says he wasn’t offered briefing on the Senate border deal" video.
Why did Trump let in 3 million people under the same process until Title 42 took effect?

Who is disputing those claims? Not the Senators. They didn't want a bad faith actor involved.

@ChristyReeseNoJohnyNonsense The border deal gives the president more power to crack down on economic migrants pretending to be asylum seekers, keeps the door up for real asylum seekers, and funds Ukraine in their fight for Western democracy. I see no downside.

The Speaker is the one who said they wouldn't support Ukraine funding without a border deal. That is the whole reason the Senate negotiated the deal. Why the flip-flop?

Do you think Johnson would have been there in good faith?

@ChristyReeseNoJohnyNonsense Oh no! This might hurt Putin's feelings. 🙄

Title 42 doesn't apply anymore. Under currect law, if someone demands asylum, unless they are a Mexican citizen, they can't be turned away at the border under currect law. Should the Biden administration break the law and turn away asylum claims?

@edwardtelles1956 It is public information. Look it up as the US Cenus Bureau. Just because you don't like facts that don't fit into your political narrative, doesn't mean they aren't true.

The current law says those who ask for asylum can't be turned away at the border and can't be deported without a court case. The bill is designed to speed up the asylum process to deport economic migrants and to shut down the border if the asylum process gets overwhelmed.

@mikehall6912 And how do you prosecute without giving a court case?
