  1. Sounds like the Mormon minority in Missouri. They voted as a bloc to concentrate all political power in the hands of Joseph Smith. Eventually, the Christian residents got tired of living under a Mormon theocracy, so they lynched Smith and chased the Mormons to Illinois.
