His opposition to Trump was due to the president's constant lies about the covid and the election. Refusing to support falsehoods shouldn't make one a RINO. Don't forget that Trump was a Democrat until 2008 when he figured out that questioning whether Obama was born in America got him news coverage. Trump also has tradition liberal beliefs like big government spending, protectionism, and isolationism.
