  5.  @Grant80  The Ukrainians made the Russians run away using pickups that couldn't survive small arms fire. Some of their off road vehicles didn't even have doors. While not a game changer, it is definitely an improvement for survivability to use equipment with better armor and sighting. Sometimes the more boring equipment can be more important. Look at Russia's failed Kiev offensive. Russian tanks were impressive, but they were useless without working trucks to transport fuel and ammunition.

  8. I would argue that Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan show the US has a lot of patience for long wars. In addition, the Ukrainian was is significantly cheaper and doesn't have American causalities.

Unfortunately for BRICS, the members don't have a strong rule of law system that would make any rational person want that currency over the dollar or Euro.

Over 20% of Russia's population don't have access to indoor plumbing, and its economy is much smaller than India's. And before another troll plays the race card, Japan isn't white, and over half of America isn't white.

The Chinese government has been artificially trying to increase the dollar's value while artificially devaluing their own currency through capital controls and buying of America treasuries in order to have a competitive edge in exports. Having a free market currency is the opposite of the CCP's goal.

  42. ​ @rendezyt The US tax system guarantees the dollar has value. Even if you want to be paid in crypto or another currency, American citizens will still have to get dollars to pay their taxes. With the size of the US economy, that is a big demand for dollars.
