@internetual7350 The world has never been closer to nuclear winter than when the Soviet Union was around.
6
Simon's focus is the cold read channels
6
@dangercat9188 And the island of Cuba and Casto's violent tendencies weren't far off
6
@NijimaSan It's two sides of the same coin
6
@keithstewart934 Much like Sigmund Freud in his field, Marx did a lot to advance the field of economics and sociology. Both men got a lot wrong, but they are still key figures in their fields that others built upon their work.
5
According to the Hamilton play, he was also a talented rapper/singer.
5
Basically, Lando Calrissian without the redemption arc.
5
Nope. They are still second place politically, economicly, and militarily.
5
@mitonaarea5856 Trump propaganda? GDP, Military sizes, and even the number of functioning democracies is measurable. It has nothing to do with the president's tweets. While China is growing, the United States is still #1.
5
Remember the Alamo!
5
@tomsommer8372 I assume you had to edit your comment due to a typo or misspelling.
5
I imagine the "allies" are the ones he is worried about. They feel they are insignificantly "woke" unless they are criticizing someone else for being "less progressive" than them.
5
"Product of the time" doesn't really apply because Wilson had the government reversed course on civil rights and constitutional limits.
5
Before this video, I would have swore there was never a President Benjamin Harrison.
5
@roctv100 Castro only developed the heathcare industry, so his people can be poor for a longer period of time.
5
Without Hoover, there wouldn't be Female Body Inspector t-shirts.
4
Suggestion: Davy Crockett It would be interesting to separate the man from the myth.
4
Casual Criminalist, "He leaned how to poison effectively from watching Biographics. Oh, s***."
4
Roman Emperors and American Presidents get views. I'm not sure there are many left that he hasn't covered.
4
All I know about him is that he hated Mondays and loved lasagna.
4
I'm surprised Simon hasn't made a channel for historical events instead of putting pandemics on Biographics.
4
Remember the Alamo!
4
I grew up in Galveston, so why haven't heard of Jack Johnson?
4
In the 1930s, Kanye's comments would have gotten someone an Adidas sponsorship.
4
It is wierd to be so obsessed over an ex-president.
4
Especially his battle with Cornpop
4
There were a lot of anti slavery founding fathers. They just didn't want to fight a civil war over the issue.
3
Patrick Hudson Wow! That is super out of context.
3
Patrick Hudson In the 1869 case Texas v. White, the Supreme Court held that individual states could not unilaterally secede from the Union and that the acts of the insurgent Texas Legislature — even if ratified by a majority of Texans — were “absolutely null.”
3
Or Toussaint Louverture of the Haiti Revolution
3
You are within the minority. The highest viewership seems to be serial killers and war criminals. People are F***ed up
3
Remember the Alamo!
3
Next do the actual worst president: Woodrow Wilson
3
Simon hasn't even mentioned his ability to sing or rap.
3
Marquis LaFayette Next! Based on the Hamilton play, Lafayette was a talented rapper. Layfayette was also George Washington's #2 in the American Revolution and a leader in the French Revolution.
3
How is there not a Woodrow Wilson biographic yet? The WWI president who born during Reconstruction, invaded Mexico, downplayed the Spanish Flu, and created the League of Nations (but couldn't get own country to join). Not to mention that he had stroke that forced the first lady to secretly run the White House with him as a figurehead.
3
Is being remembered always a good thing? For example, a certain German chancellor who ruled in the 1940s is one of the most recognizable figures in history.
3
@JK-gu3tl Obama is ranked highly on many lists mainly because his scandals were were minor and because nothing really happened under his watch. Being a lame duck was actually an accomplishment to these scholars.
3
Who?
3
The alternative is to allow the majority to silence the elected representatives of the minority viewpoint.
3
@bjornodin The point is that free speech has few limits as giving individuals the ability to silence speech is more dangerous than anything an individual can say. Do you honestly want to give McCarthy the ability to punish those that he perceives as behaving badly?
3
@vrillionaire88 Not in a way with the desired effects.
3
@internetual7350 I don't why you think the Soviet Union was "responsible". It was highly unstable with revolutions, coups, purges, and a collapse of the whole system.
3
@tommyfred6180 China hasn't been to war since Vietnam. All they care about is money and war is unprofitable. Iran is a joke when it comes to a military threat -- especially compared to the Soviet Union.
3
This quote represents 2020
3
On the other channels, we don't even know if the writers are in the basement or not.
3
@GeorgeEstregan828 Simon must be cloning himself to take over YouTube.
3
Non bias journalism wasn't a thing until the 20th century when newspapers made more money by selling to the broadest market. We have regressed thanks to technology making it easier to target consumers based on political beliefs and media giving these consumers validation with confirmation bias.
3
Keeps brought back Simon's hair!
2
Patrick Hudson Literally, because the Supreme Court said it is unconstitutional, it is unconstitutional. That is how the system works.
