  1. Many of the Western Ukraine war commentators tend to be Ukrainian cheerleader more than analyst. I believe people just find Clarke's ability to comment on Ukrainian headwinds along with triumphs as a refreshing source of credibility. Russian trolls just don't like him debunking their nonsensical lies.

  2.  @WalkOverHotCoal  The praise on Clarke is more of criticism of most other commentators for not being objective - which is a fair point to have.
