Because they aren't reasonable. I have met two type of Trump supporters. *Those who love the dog whistles of hate, and actually prefer a conservative autocrat over a democracy puts a liberal in power. *Those who rather double down on their support for Trump than admit they made a mistake. The willfully ignorance and cognitive dissonance involved is simply amazing.
