Welcome to America. The Chauvin Trial is putting structural racism on trial...and on display. Trust me, his defense lawyer knows exactly what he’s doing. The law and the evidence are against his client, and he’s trying to play to the jury’s unconscious biases and prejudices to get a hung jury and mistrial. It’s not disgusting that Chauvin gets a competent defense. What is disgusting is how he’s being defended...and it’s being done because history shows that it works. THIS...is why there is no police accountability, and why BLM was necessary.
