No colonialism and the dehumanization of non-Europeans was the start of that. …and Abolition was the start of the effort to try to claw back that power. Feminism came decades later.

@zcole774 Yes. But white Americans and Europeans never refer to their own tribalism as “identity politics”. Because their ethnocentrism feels that it has the right to decide what is reality for everyone else. In fact you quickly get called names and shutdown if you dare to point to that Elephant in The Living Room. We’re just supposed to walk around it every day and pretend not to notice it.
