That the only thing ridiculous about it is that it is a truth VERY BADLY STATED. First off, you have to have enough to meet you basic needs. If you don’t have that, you’re screwed. But once those basic needs are met, it becomes a matter of whether one generation is willing to INVEST in the next generations upward mobility. That’s how my family went from sharecroppers to Ivy League graduates in four generations. That’s has been the foundation for The American Dream. But the Baby Boom Generation broke that contract. They wanted it all, and they wanted it NOW. And now their children have inherited that same live for today, live just for myself mentality that you can’t have if you’re looking to build wealth.
