  1. You’re dealing with authoritarian followers. They don’t view the world rationally. They view it in identity and tribally-based terms. So, no. They aren’t going to see the contradiction. Just like they don’t see the contradiction in Democrats being so smart as to steal the election for Biden... but dumb enough to lose seats in the House. Never underestimate the power of the fear-based mind to fail to see reality clearly.
