  1. That’s what happens when you try to make SWs “dark and cynical” like almost all Sci-fi has been for the last 20 years. Even Star Trek tried to bend the knee to that trend and it was a failure. Enough is enough. All the dystopian 💩is exhausting.

If Disney had used the EU stuff directly they would have had to pay royalties to all those writers…who would have been in a position to extort outrageous rates from them. But The Sequels were a misfire. Disney bought a franchise they didn’t understand…and keep hiring directors and showrunners (other than Filoni) who don’t understand or respect why it works. Headline? Prime example of “not getting it”… and running her mouth in ways that were actively antagonizing the people who they were wanting to watch the show. 🤦🏾‍♂️
