Freedom from what, at what cost, and what purpose? If you don’t have anything to aspire for, then it really means nothing in the end.

@TheGalantir Depends on what it is you find from material things in the end. After all, we all need food, water, and air to even have a chance at that game. Otherwise, you are not even a player.

Authoritarianism does and most of the time, does too. The Chinese under Mao and the Russians under Stalin didn’t exactly have the means to be slackers and were not well taken. The only difference is who is making you take such. In the west though, you can’t call it free when so few people control everything. If it were completely stateless and unowned by any major players and no oligarchs owned large traces of resources and land, then you would have such a world. In such a world though, you are on your own and on your own most of the time for basically nothing. There is no society. In such world, most people in every nation wouldn’t survive such a way. Especially now with how much the environment has changed and our ways of life. For accountability, it wouldn’t matter. For your mistakes, sure. But for others, it won’t matter. The freak shows that would come out are enough to talk for itself. You are talking about sole independence here. If you are not into this, then you are against freedom in some way. You are advocating for different means of who holds an individual accountability and responsibility.
