I assure you that most civilians are not even armed to begin with here. Even in heavily armed Texas. Most people don’t carry their guns literally everywhere they go.

@vauxcorsa That is the total number of guns divided by the number of people. That figure doesn't say what percentage of people own at least one of those guns. When you look at people who own at least one firearm, it is not high at all. Only 30-32% of Americans in total which doesn't even account for interstater differences, own a firearm. When looking at states, only largely rural states or states with low populations own firearms at above 50% and some states have percentages as low as 14% and those also don't count for the city districts where gun ownership is even lower. The reason for that figure you have is because a few people have a lot of guns, not because everyone here is secretly carrying an AK-47.
