China handled the pandemic better than almost everyone else. Only exceptions are remote countries like islands and barren lands.

What are you talking about? The CCP downplayed the virus in the beginning. They want to be open more than everyone else does so they can exploit their citizens and the world more. They did the lockdown as it was the only thing that actually worked. People were able to go around country sides and even cities without masking.

@mosher2001 A demolished healthcare system, higher death rate than the Holocaust, biggest drop in life expectancy since world war 2, a record number of new disabilities sparking a new disability crisis, huge surge in orphans from parents who died of covid-19, and a virus still out and circulating that we still don’t understand yet with certain people playing with it(many caused their friends and families to die this way). Or, people doing their normal thing in the Chinese country side business as usual. Not even masking. I hate the CCP and hope they lose power one day or just suddenly change for the better, but they were not wrong about handling covid-19.

@samuraijackoff5354 They could have done their measures better but taking it that seriously was definitely necessary and saved their hospitals of the current disaster they are under right now. For other places returning to normal, all of them have far higher death tolls than China and far more issues with the virus right now than they do. They are not normal. They are only pretending to be normal like that dog drinking tea in a burning house. Australia, Taiwan, and Vietnam also had that success and didn't for a duration of the pandemic, didn't even wear masks. It is the only policy that had 100% success on a national scale and the vaccinations combined with masking earlier on was the only thing that worked regionally.

@Racko. They are corrupt, but they do not benefit from their population being plagued with covid-19. Don't forget, they downplayed it before everyone else and silenced their own doctor who warned about it.

@harrison9691 They didn't have 15 million people minimum die in a span of 2 years, cause the biggest drop in life expectancy since world war 2, cause the largest disability crisis of all time, have only vaccines and mask to only mitigate, and destroy medical infrastructure. In the country sides and even now, people live without wearing masks or even vaccinating at all. All of this as so many people try to play fast simpleton fake doctor with a virus they know nothing about.

@stephen8342 Didn't know a mild flu can cause the biggest life expectancy drop sine world war 2 and kill minimum 15 million in two years. Or cause the biggest disability crisis of all time. Judging while still not knowing what is the final outcome of the infection which impatient people pretending to be doctors keep trying to push. Will agree bolting people in their homes isn't right, but they were correct to practice zero covid.

@shadowbannedaccont9479 Did you divide that by reported deaths to infection? Seems we have a simpleton who knows 3rd grade division. Do you know about probability rolls being spanned out increases the rate? Do you know about accounting for the length of time for the infection to be counted as people die months and even years later from the same infection? Do you know that there is no official death rate as no one actually knows what the final outcome of the infection will be? Do you know about the 1/3 chance to have some degree of brain damage from the virus if not vaccinated and even if symptoms are mild? The big disability crisis going on? Biggest life expectancy drop since world war 2? You get the Darwin Award for playing eugenics and natural selection on yourself.

@Racko. If only they did that sooner so we wouldn't be in this situation that has been exasperated by incompetent countries like the US and ones in Europe.

@Racko. Aged like milk? Duer to all the precautions the citizens have practiced and still practice, it is still faring far better than basically everyone else aside from some remote and island nations and North Korea due to North Korea being North Korea.

@Racko. Didn't admit. It simply failed because they prepared to enact it and adapt ir properly which that government does with basically everything. That government is an incompetent government. Not simply one that made the wrong decision with zero-covid. For instance. They were throwing away loads of food with covid-19 nucleic acid despite the fact that covid-129 doesn't transmit from food. They could have used that information to save supplies. They also should have if they were being so strict about the lockdown, enforce vaccine mandates which would have reduce infection rates and allowed zero-covid to stick. They could have even tested immunity levels in certain individuals where certain people could be the ones doing more of these jobs so they can relax restrictions after getting the virus under control. It also helps protect people more incase they do get infected with covid-19 or an outbreak happens and prevent infection. So many options here which they didn't utilize because of how prideful that pathetic government is.
