  2. Your state is along the head of the Mississippi which is impacted by rising sea levels. Extreme heat can also be problematic there. Will agree with cold as a Californian even if one might have to deal with drainage issues from ice in the ground. For earthquakes, they are not of high risk and even when they happen, they are rarely an issue. Even then, only an issue around certain infrastructure. Everywhere else is completely unaffected. Have been in 2 hurricanes and will agree. Alligators I don’t wish to chance anything with.

  3. Appalachians with only a few exceptions and the northeastern part, are not high enough to get away from the extreme heat.
