  1.  @billnelson3405  Incorrect. The mRNA vaccine produces a spike protein from the cells which targets the original virus and viruses similar to the original one. It is the reason vaccinated people still have far better immunity than those without the vaccine. For those with natural immunity, the exact same applies except that they are putting themselves at a dangerous risk of being harmed or killed by the virus and unlike other viruses, what is dangerous about it is how long it lasts and the higher difficulty in attaining immunity. For suppressing immunity, there is literally not a single vaccine that does that. There might be some treatments for auto immune disorders that might do that, but no vaccine is capable of that. You would be far better off getting the vaccine.

  2. Wrong. It is the workplace masks they have for things like paints and surgical masks that only mitigate. Though even them, they make a very size able difference in spread when worn correctly.

  3. Face shields actually make a difference as they catch the breaths with the highest viral loads along with preventing snot and coughing from directly coming onto people. It is actually a pretty decent difference. Mitigation still, but quite mitigating.

If a president takes advice from a 5 Star General Engineer with every qualification there is on what to do to build a new fleet of aircraft and public transport, they didn’t make the decision. The president simply went based on what they said in their OWN decision.

  10. I think they are having a hard time thinking outside of their basic senses. Like, if they think gravity is always down no matter what, it is harder to imagine it as something that can be different. In their heads, they would be upside down and probably imagine gravity pulling them down either into the sky or a void. I think our teaching methods with science is flawed and hence, results in this and multiple other flawed beliefs. Also some other issues too like learning disabilities possibly with a number of them that make it harder to concentrate as well. These have indeed become more common with the prevalence of technology access. With those, they are probably more likely to believe something that is a less complicated and easier explanation for something they don’t understand. So, mental health regarding attentions spans might also play a role here.

  23. You became suicidal over the fact that you couldn’t go to a barbecue so some kid wouldn’t become an orphan, get disabled, or even die themselves? This is harsh and sorry you felt that way, but I don’t feel bad about locking down when countless kids literally became orphans over this. Not even counting the fact that this is possibly the biggest mass disabling event in world history and we still don’t know the final outcome of the virus. The death rates everyone has is a quick steadfast conclusion. Disabilities so debilitating that it makes those people suicidal themselves. You considered how they feel? Get the help you need and do what you NEED to do, but don’t you dare promote the same medical nonsense that has destroyed the world and my life. My life was ruined by the world opening up and spreading the virus on purpose. I actually lost lives and they were very healthy.
