  1. OK. An Engineer (Naval Engineer (Architect?)) living in his nations capital. Yes. As to the Monitor and the Warrior ... people are always asking questions about miss matched ships that were designed for entirely different purposes. It isn't really which ship is "better" it's how well did these ships do at what they were designed for. Neither of these ships could have done the other ships job. The Monitor would have just sunk - as it did and the Warrior would have run aground - or - not been able to do the job. .
