  2. 4:50 Not just “short-term” in the server space. Linux is the reason Windows Server, at least the on-prem version, is no longer getting the love it once was. It’s the reason why the HPC version and Windows Home Server both died a quick death.

They were not quite so self-congratulatory a little while later when the system suffered a complete meltdown which Microsoft tried to blame on “network issues”. A little while after that, the LSE ripped out their Windows NT servers and replaced them with Linux.
