  1.  @nextlifeonearth  Only 3?? Luxury! I just counted the occurrences of “if(UNIX AND NOT APPLE)” in the build scripts for the Blender source code, and found 24 of them. Oh, and one “if(UNIX AND NOT (APPLE OR HAIKU))”. Yet another almost-but-not-quite-Unix system ... sigh ...

  3. The original 128KiB Mac could have its RAM upgraded to 512KiB. On top of that, some imaginative third parties found ways to push it even further. The “Monster Mac” upgrade pushed the RAM to 2MiB. It also modified the ROM so the smiling Mac that you saw on a successful initiation of boot had little fangs. ;)

  5. Macs can run Linux, too. In fact, every popular processor architecture on Earth can run Linux. Maybe you specifically mean “Microsoft-compatible PC”?

  6. Microsoft’s ARM OSes are a joke. Apple? Apart from the tightly-locked-down IOS, it’s all vapourware. Or, judging from Catalina, likely to be just as tightly locked down.
