  4. Here’s an example of where it falls down: a piece of software wants to install into the C: drive. You try to set up a mount point to use additional space on another volume, and tell the installer to put its stuff there. But the installer only checks for free space at the top level of C:, decides there isn’t enough, and the installation fails. This kind of rubbish is sadly all too common in the Windows world.
