  1. Vendor certifications have always had a short shelf life. They also seem to be a tidy revenue stream for the vendors concerned. I would say avoid them all.

  2.  @alexxx4434  Microsoft already tried “extinguish” -- remember the old cry of “Linux is a cancer”? That failed miserably. “Extend” isn’t going so well, either--I can’t think of a single contribution they’ve made to Open Source that has been successful. So yeah, they’re doing “embrace” now. Because it’s the only option they have left.

  3.  @rafaelmacaraeg6768  Azure is more than Linux-compatible; Microsoft are actually running more Linux than Windows instances on Azure. That’s what their customers are demanding.

  5. Sounds like they did a pretty dumb thing by focusing on proprietary vendor certifications instead of, you know, actually giving their students an education.
