  1. SFTP and SCP are both services that are normally available automatically as part of SSH. You can use whichever you want. Also many GUI file managers on Linux can give you remote access to filesystems on other machines via SFTP. You can then drag and drop files between machines, and this can work across a room or across the world. And it’s all done securely.
