  3. Another commenter mentioned it would have been more interesting with actual chemical elements from the periodic table, not old mythological elements. Imagine the coming-of-age of a character called Selenium, still trying to decide “am I a metal or a nonmetal?” And trying to ask the inert gases for advice, but of course they’re no help at all. Meanwhile, the alkalis and the halogens are having another one of their explosive parties ... “What’s that white stuff on the floor?”
