@6Planet Here in 🇳🇿 we have proportional representation. That means every vote counts equally, and we don’t really attach much importance to “marginal electorates” (or “swing districts/states” as in 🇺🇸). I think all the good democracies are like that.

@6Planet Alaska brought in ranked-choice voting recently for its House representative. You know, that was the election where Palin lost to Peltola. While preference-based voting is not technically “proportional representation”, it does achieve a very similar effect. Also it tends to favour individuals over parties, which may suit the US situation better.
