  7. Gemini launched on hypergolic boosters. So you see hardly any flames there, too. Also it was felt there was just about no explosion risk, so they had ejector seats instead of launch-abort systems like Mercury and Apollo.

  8. Look at the LEM descent footage, e.g. Apollo 11. Notice the dust being blown out radially in precise straight lines? What happens to dust normally on Earth?
