  3.  @jonathanvanier  You have to admit, the whole idea of tying the GUI inextricably into the OS kernel is one that should have been left behind in the 1990s.

  4. 7:31 The DEC Alpha was a 64-bit processor. But NT could only run it with 32-bit addresses (“TASO” mode). The only full 64-bit OSes to run on the Alpha were DEC’s own Unix, and Linux.
