  1. 19:17 The delay between the camera operator’s instructions and the camera responding meant that, in all the previous liftoffs from the Moon, the camera looked up too late, and failed to track the ascent stage properly. This was the last chance. The operator had to work out how many seconds in advance to issue the elevate-camera command, and hope that it would coincide with the actual liftoff. This time, it did.
