  1. It’s not “Microsoft Office” any more, it’s now “Microsoft 365”. Except it has never managed 365 consecutive days of uptime yet. If you are going to merge documents, learn from the software developers who use plain-text formats for that. Merging binary documents does not go well.

  2. Microsoft Office macros are a well-known security risk. Nobody should be blindly accepting them from unknown sources.
