  1. Some of the brains behind the Skia graphics engine originally worked for Apple, where they created the QuickDraw GX graphics engine in the early 1990s. Back then, it would have been a major advance on the old QuickDraw, with integer-only coordinates, that the Macintosh was using for its interactive graphics, and I was a big fan. Unfortunately, it died.
