  2. There are lots of different news networks operating all over Ukraine. Plus of course footage from camera phones of ordinary people themselves. No need to confine yourself to just one source. Particularly not a 🇷🇺 one.

  4. Russia doesn’t have enough troops to take Kiev, and they’re having trouble getting into position close enough to Odesa, either. Mariupol is going to have to be taken street by street, house by house, with no quarter given. It’s going to be a race between the last inch of ground taken, or a mutiny from Putin’s exhausted and demoralized troops before then.

  5. I am aware of some of the nuances in the Ukraine situation. Like the dubious provenance of the Azov battalion (likely the excuse for Putin’s claim that Ukraine is somehow overrun with “Nazis”). And some of the stories of mistreatment of non-Ukrainians (e.g. ones from Africa) trying to flee to the Polish border. But the fact remains, it is Russia that invaded and started the war, while continuing to claim it did not “invade” and that there is no “war”. And it is Russia that is causing untold suffering to the civilian population, while again insisting that it is doing no such thing. The evidence is plain to see, from people on the ground.
