@RamonAlbertoEscobarUSA No longer enough for Sweden and Finland. Two centuries of neutrality, abandoned because a certain neighbour has just become too dangerous.

@RamonAlbertoEscobarUSA Sweden and the rest of NATO will find a way, with or without Türkiye. Like I said, If Putin is really doing his best to promote world peace, he’s going about it in completely the wrong way.

@RamonAlbertoEscobarUSA “Paranoia” or not, that is the fact, like it or not. If it was just one or two countries, you could say it was them, not you. But when it is every single neighbour, then maybe you should look at yourself.

Pro tip: if you’re trying to discourage your neighbours from joining a military pact against you, you don’t do it by threatening their security.

@RamonAlbertoEscobarUSA “Coexist” with neighbours who increasingly see you as a threat. Why would that be, I wonder?

Odesa, a city founded by a Russian Tsar, Catherine the Great, and defended by the Soviet Union, including the Russians, against German attack during World War II. Now the Ukrainians have to defend it against those same Russians, against an aggression that Catherine would be ashamed to hear about.

One fact is that international independent media are free to report (and interview people) from all parts of free Ukraine, including some areas quite close to the front lines. Contrast this with the Russian side, where the message is tightly controlled, and reporters risk jail time just for using the wrong words.

@RamonAlbertoEscobarUSA Tell that to all the independent media operating there. And to the journalists in jail in Russia.
