  1. The Second Amendment is a wonderful red herring. While the gun nuts are so jealously guarding it, the Government is free to take away citizens’ important rights. This idea of defending yourself against a “tyrannical Government” is sheer fantasy -- the weapons that private citizens are allowed to own are mere pea-shooters compared to what the authorities have at their disposal. https://www.techdirt.com/blog/?tag=police+militarization
