  1. 9:32 Solar panel? Note that very little solar radiation actually makes it to the surface of Venus, owing to the thickness of the atmosphere. But that same thickness retains what does get through, which is why after so many millions of years, the surface has become so hot.

  2.  @shawnpitman876  Considering that most of our knowledge of the surface of Venus came, not from NASA, but from the USSR, kind of weakens your appeal-to-authority argument somewhat.
