The media says it also equals Hurricane Gilbert in 1988 and Hurricane Wilma in 2005 lol I've just watched them pile on a whole list of hurricanes off and on for the last 2 days that are suppose to equal this storm, or dwarfs the other storms. I also saw that it clocked in at 165mph which is 20mph slower than all the other hurricanes they keep mentioning, and then I've seen them say its 225mph. I also notice how many of them are exactly 185mph like it's some sort of divine number (looks like they're just pulling it out of their asses) People gotta realize, the media lies way more about weather reports than it does about Trump... and it's constantly lying about Trump. You always have to make your own assessment of the situation cuz you can't rely on those screwballs for anything.

I'm on the coast.. the storm dropped 41mph since when the media initially pushed it and it hasn't even hit yet, it's weaker than just about all the storms that come through here around this time of year lol if you live on the east coast you know the drill the media straight up lies about hurricanes and makes the entire situation a confusing mess intentionally to drive up viewership. People will stay behind despite an evacuation order because they can't trust a word the media says so they have no choice but to roll the dice. It pisses me off, the one thing the media should not lie about they lie the MOST about, its weird that it's almost a requirement that you be even more skeptical of weather reports than anything else.

@bertram9852 Same, seen this crap 100 times before, the media just likes to play coast guard from time to time.

It's hard to trust anything the media says, they exaggerate storms to keep people on edge so that they continuously keep viewership up, oddly enough that's when they cram in the most ads. People are forced to roll the dice now because if the storm doesn't take your stuff chances are someone else will. Just look at the type of information they put out there, it's all one big confusing mess, you're forced to make your own assessment and the only piece of useful information you have is that yes there IS a hurricane, beyond that it's entirely up to you to work it out.

It never gets that bad up here lol it'll just look spooky outside for a bit.

Nuclear power plants create a lot of heat. Water do many many big thing to heat. Very much fun time yes.

Yes Styx, we get it, you played Fallout 4 once and now nuclear power plants are scary. The type of engineering that goes into those facilities is far beyond your understanding dude, just leave it be.

hmmm good idea

They usually do though lol it's just that people don't trust the media on weather reports, nobody wants to leave if the storm isn't that bad because if the storm doesn't take your shit, someone else will.

hahaha, same. Think I'm just gonna drink a few beers on the porch and watch it.
