  7. problem is that market correction has been hanging over everyone's heads for over 40 years, nobody knowing when the hammer was going to drop. You also don't get any bonuses for expecting it either, other than maybe a big red target.

  8. Cuz we aren't the ones responsible for it, we are the ones that are expected to correct for economic problems we didn't create. Gen Xers catch sh** because instead of telling the Boomers to knock it off many decades ago a good portion of them just went along with it when the boomers decided to sell our futures out from under us. When Gen X has what little they've got taken from them they'll whine to no end about it, nobody will care.

  16. yeah but the gov't isn't funded by Taxes, it's funded by treasury bonds purchased by the Fed which just prints the money. I don't think the goal is to make sure the market is stable.
