  3. the solution is to not change anything and let them languish. Eventually they'll tell their kids not to be as dumb as they were and actually make going to college a deliberate decision and not a flippant one, thats what happened.

  5. The problem isnt the govt, its the culture that blames everybody else for their own dumb decisions, keep it as is then teach others not to do the dumb thing and the problem magically solves itself. If we blame ourselves for doing dumb things then we're that much harder to rip off.

  10. I always say look inward. If you just stop being stupid, people cant sell you on stupid things. Like a student loan for a major in lesbian-american studies. Besides its THOSE people you should blame for your tuition being so damn high in the first place. Thankfully they're not going to forgive anything, its one of the many keys on the ring that they jingle at the idjits to keep them distracted, they can never give those up.

  11. I would say it is still the former, their parents told them they had to go to college but didnt guide their kids in any aspect of it so then the dumb kid just makes flippant decisions because going to college wasnt a deliberate choice to start with.
