Nah just have to look at US history, this has all happened before, primarily in the 1860s, seems the only thing that's different is the frequency of riots and modern death tolls (we used to do it MORE OFTEN for LESS lol) resulting from them are significantly smaller in recent times. Even today's "extremists" are pretty weak by comparison.
