You can't argue "it's just acting" when it comes to pedophilia in entertainment, people think if you can depict it then you must be a pedo, they don't accept any excuses because it should immediately repulse you at the very mention of the idea. It is the one place you just do NOT go, there's a hard line drawn there and people have been consistently punished very harshly for crossing it lol

  3. Lol I think it's safe to say touching on pedophilia in entertainment is a surefire way to end a career. It's practically universal that people want to drag you outside the village and put a bullet in you if you cultivate even the smallest perception of touching kids. People don't think you should even be able to get in the mindset to even "act it out" it should repulse you at the very mention of it, it's not a topic people ENJOY to talk about even a little bit and honestly i can't blame them. Can shout "Free speech!" from the rooftops all day long but it should be obvious that any depiction of pedophilia is off limits and will more often than not lead to pitchforks and torches. This isn't a new taboo, not by a long shot, so why so surprised? He had to know what he was walking into.

  4. This isn't something you can even argue about, people generally think you shouldn't even be able to get in the mindset to act out touching kids even at all. Why are people talking about this like this is a new taboo? It's like the ultimate taboo in the US, of course people jumped down his throat. The reason for the outrage is if you can get in the mindset to play a pedophile then you must be one because anybody else would be IMMEDIATELY repulsed by the idea, nobody wants to hear ANY sort of excuse for it and there's probably never going to be a time where they're going to be willing to listen anyway, it's a pretty set in stone reality of our culture, and honestly who can blame them, you look like a freak when you defend shit like this no matter how you cut it lol
