These days I avoid Ubuntu like the plague, Canonical is doing way too many screwy things to accomodate snap packages that its causing serious issues for distros downstream so I mainly work with Debian because I think we might see a trend of the bigger ubuntu based distros making the switch like Mint is doing with LMDE.
