Man is that thought provoking, this map alone gives you a view into the general mentality of the medieval person.. their world was way more interesting than ours, we categorized and catalogued everything to the point where most things are mundane and boring lol it's a little sad but totally necessary, but I like that it's not too hard to imagine their thought process, they didn't need maps to be super accurate because they were ballsy enough to just move forward. Think about it, think about how anxious people get if they don't have a GPS telling them PRECISELY where they need to go and be at a specific time these days, back then you gave these guys a sack of dried meat, some water, point them in a general direction and they would just find it eventually hahaha that's crazy

Thing is things are only worth whatever some idiot is willing to pay for it, the only reason it is often priced as high as it is, is because some dumbass will actually pay that price, and there's enough dumb asses willing to pay for it as well. I mean in the west on either side of the pond, you have people paying like $40-50 for an item that cost only $3 in materials and labor to make. It's crazy.
