then there would be no distro. Just look at wayland, one piece of software, its taken nearly 13 years to even catch up to Xorg and its primarily because developers can't agree with one another.

Meh, neither does GNOME. They have a right to ignore you if they want tbh, they don't owe you anything. It's not "Nice" but that's just a fact, they owe you jack.

@wayland7150 Linus does things most users will never ever do, casual or a poweruser, you really can't compare him to anybody else lol. He's not a Windows guru either, he has no idea how to use that at all.

@rbtmdl I've given up on that line of questioning, I flip it to "When is GIMP going to have Adobe feature?" lol if we can make a 1:1 FOSS version of the adobe suite, i don't see why not encourage that over asking Adobe to come to linux.

There needs to be more of a direct way to get users to donation pages and probably a better Linux hub site that we can confidently link to people to learn how to use the basics of Linux without getting too deep into the weeds. There are a number of those sites already but they're all very wordy and not necessarily inviting to the absolute noob coming from Winders or even Mac. Like when I came into Linux, I had to learn it backwards because I thought initially all the distros were vastly different from each other and I distro-hopped. It actually took me a good minute to realize what GNU/Linux actually was and then I started to fly through it with ease.

That's not up to "the linux community" that's on the developer's end. Most of the time there's nothing we can do about it, but thankfully we have GabeN and the financial backing of Valve.
