It was a choice because when they were slaves they largely outnumbered their oppressors on the plantations but since they were all worried about themselves they never really "revolted" despite it being probably in their best interest. Harriet Tubman's name gets thrown around a lot because when she was being the classic uber-badass that she was, she failed to retrieve slaves because they were more afraid of being punished by their oppressors rather than putting everything on the line for their freedom. Kanye West is basically channeling that very same sentiment, black people are afraid to get off the mental-plantation because they might be punished by their "slavemasters" most black people are too afraid to step outside the bounds like Kanye West and Candace Owens have done. Black people are too afraid to realize that they've been subserviant to a group of people who's politics revolve around telling black people they're not good enough to function within a civilized society, a group that has only just stopped PHYSICALLY oppressing them just 50 years ago. But of course the left will boil this down to how many years were mentioned as being what validates or invalidates the argument.

  3. It's not the name used on whips, it's the name given to those who specialized in using whips which were necessary on cattle farms. It's a name still used today by those who specialize in cracking whips nowadays as a parlor trick because of course we use cattle prods now.
