  1. I think technically this has always been this way. Think back to all those layman computer users that just dump everything on the desktop, it's the same thing happening here. I think it's always been a common thing for people to consider digging into the file system as a complicated experience. It makes sense, why open a file manager a dig deeper into the system when i have a folder or the file right there on the desktop? I think the computer savvy who use their computers all the time usually like to keep a clean computer and desktop where others wouldn't care so much about that.
