Prions are not a virus, they're not bacteria, they're not even living things, they're misfolded brain protein, unless these deer are eating each other's brain matter then it will not spread, and if YOU don't eat it's brain matter and spinal column (which most hunters do not) then you too will be perfectly fine. Besides this condition is mostly present in predators and even then it doesn't affect them that much.

Unless you're in the habit of eating the brains and spinal column of animals then you are 110% safe from "muh Prions", they're nothing new and they affect like every other wild animal to some degree, prions are not bacteria, virus, or whatever, they're just misfolded brain protein, it doesn't transmit like a virus, you can't just "touch noses" and suddenly another animal has prions, you literally have to consume it's neural matter. This guy is trying to sell you on tabloid bullshit and Joe Rogan is too stoned to do any fuckin' research on his own, this is college prep biology material ffs.
