  20. Honestly I don't care how "good" mobile gaming is getting, until we put a stop to this aggressive monetization, they're not allowed in our club. I already hate monetization on non-mobile platforms as it is, I write those games off outright. Is it gatekeeping? yes. and the gate's closed and barred.

  23.    Literally anybody can just make an account and throw up a review, I did it yesterday but to throw down an actual review of the game in hopes that someone might actually read it and get something constructive out of it. It's too bad that this game wasn't on Steam at launch so then steam would just filter out the review bomb retards so people can see the actual reviews.

It was rushed, Fallout 76 was rushed to market so that the suits could have a product competing in Q4 2018, they had absolutely nothing else coming out this entire year and most of their other titles are slated to be released in 2019 and on, FO76 was meant to be a holdover game, they rushed to get it into a playable condition and throw it on the market and BGS themselves clearly were bracing for impact on this launch because Fallout "fans" tend to sperg the fuck out no matter what the game is (seriously look at FO's history there was a time where people absolutely lost their shit because the game wasn't isometric turn-based and would refuse to play FO3 or NV for the longest time). I get the sense that this is what happened because the moment they got to market they IMMEDIATELY outlined all the changes coming in an upcoming patch that adds a bunch of content, features, etc. basically they have the roadmap planned out and they had most of the first (free) DLCs on the verge of being ready to go and they're already lined up for this content release, meaning the reason why the whole release looked like a big mess was because they were just trying to get through launch day. I told my friends that if you give it 6 months I bet Fallout 76 will look completely different and will be amazing compared to it's release version.

  35. They should definitely be illegal requiring serious regulation, it won't prevent them from existing but they should be off limits in an "official" capacity at the very least. Amazing tech but the consequences of abusing it are pretty bad. Basically we need legal tools to safeguard against the abuse by politicians and businesses that will inevitably happen.

  38. Bottles in my experience was much better than Lutris at installing a game and simply running it. Unfortunately Bottles' developers are a little..... 🤪. Wants the target system to be Flatpak for some reason, of course we just ignore that nonsense but... yeah.

There's some other issue where people complain that he stole code but none of the people involved in this have a right to that code to begin with (Nintendo does) so its a totally moot point.
