  6. Air gapped maybe but why? Linux runs WinXP and earlier software with ease and you can connect it to the internet without it getting cooked. Dual Booting isn't advisable because Windows has a habit of messing with boot records. You can do it but it's not really recommended. If you're connecting a WinXP machine to the Internet I will unfortunately have to laugh at you.

  10. The best DE for gaming on linux is the AwesomeWM. It runs on virtually nothing, and there's no compositor, that's usually what kills performance and it's not like you need it because your windows don't really move around in a TWM. Instead of manjaro you should've gone with mainline arch and installed only the bare minimum to get gaming, networking, and audio to work properly. The name of the game is to remove as much space between you and the hardware on that device as much as possible. DE's are bloat lol

One of the biggest barriers to people moving to Linux is the change in philosophy, moving from an OS where everything is all in one, all decisions are made for you to one where virtually every bit of software on it is optional and comes with a variety of settings and choices is extremely jarring to your average windows user lol.

  30. nah, they're freaked out because on linux we have a whole variety of Kernels and we can switch between them at will and they can't support ALL of them. I think in the future Valve is going to have to come up with it's own patched kernel to be required for gaming and those companies can rely on monitoring that for their anti-cheat measures.

Personally I don't think the turing test is a proper test because you can program the "correct answers" into AI and make its answers convincingly "human".. but what we'll see is a simulated-sentience, not actual sentience and I worry that the world is going to be too dumb to be able to tell the difference.
